Singapore, March 23 2022 — Horangi, a leading cloud security solutions and services firm based in Singapore, today announced that it now offers compliance automation for the Huawei Cloud Security Configuration Guide v3.2. The configuration guide document describes the security baseline requirements for the cloud services essential to users of Huawei Cloud. The security controls span the domains of compute, networking, storage, database, and security services.
This new compliance standard will be available on Warden, Horangi’s flagship cloud security platform. As of today, Warden supports the 5 largest cloud security providers of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and Huawei Cloud.
With the release of this new compliance standard, Horangi becomes the first cybersecurity company to offer compliance automation for Huawei Cloud. Warden also provides Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Infrastructure Entitlements Management (CIEM) features for customers of Huawei Cloud.
“Today is a big next step in our growing and far-reaching partnership with Huawei Cloud. Innovation and cybersecurity are mission critical for any organisation today with ambitions of steady growth. Seeing the fast-paced innovation that many of our customers are showing, Horangi is humbled to see Warden being increasingly integrated into our customers’ development lifecycles. The one-click compliance automation that we are releasing for the Huawei Cloud Security Configuration Guide takes this a step further for organizations on Huawei Cloud, helping them to save valuable time and resources in maintaining a strong security baseline.” said Paul Hadjy, CEO and Co-founder of Horangi.
The development of Horangi's strategic partnership with Huawei Cloud is timely as the cloud service provider expands its global network with 61 availability zones in 27 areas to serve more than 170 countries. With an array of key partnerships and more than 50 vertical-specific cloud services used by industries from healthcare to manufacturing, Huawei Cloud is on pace this year to beat its 2021 growth.
Coming off a strong year where Horangi locked major customer acquisitions in India and ASEAN including Mobile Premier League (MPL), SCB Abacus, and Fraction, the Gartner-recognized cybersecurity firm is looking to grow market share in Thailand with the release of the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) compliance standard on Warden.
“Horangi’s cloud-native suite of products and solutions make them a seamless partner for Huawei in helping customers on their cloud journey. At a time when businesses need to securely and effectively scale their cloud operations, Horangi's holistic cloud security platform makes it easy for customers to innovate, while staying on top of the most relevant security requirements. As the ASEAN region takes strides to stand among the world's top tech hubs, we look forward to our partnership with Horangi to empower customers with solutions that will accelerate their digital transformation goals", said Nicole Lu, Vice President of Huawei Cloud APAC Ecosystem.
According to BCG, Asia Pacific is set to outpace the rest of the world in demand and adoption of cloud, with overall spending to reach USD 200 billion by 2024. This will inevitably lead to changes in organisational networks, and demand for cloud native security solution providers.
