SINGAPORE, 9 OCTOBER 2021 — Horangi, a Singapore-headquartered cybersecurity company that provides solutions optimized for cloud-based organizations across Southeast Asia, has been named a partner of the SG Cyber Safe Partnership Programme.
The SG Cyber Safe Partnership Programme is an initiative under the Safer Cyberspace Masterplan launched in October 2020 by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), where the government will collaborate with industry partners to increase cybersecurity awareness and adoption of good cybersecurity practices by organizations and individuals.
As a partner, Horangi will co-organize thematic cybersecurity workshops to enterprises, jointly develop outreach programs such as newsletters and webinars with the CSA, and provide products and solutions that complement CSA’s initiatives.
Among its product offerings is Horangi’s Gartner-listed flagship product Warden, a cloud-native Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) software that enables organizations to quickly and easily implement threat detection, manage identity and access, perform vulnerability remediation and automate compliance audits across multiple standards.
Horangi was recently inducted into the Accreditation@SGD Programme by Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in recognition of Warden’s “capability to aggregate, detect, and fix emerging threats in multi-cloud environments.”
Complementing Warden is a slew of services offering organizations a comprehensive approach to securing their network infrastructure, including penetration testingpenetration testing, ransomware defense assessmentransomware defense assessment, red-teamingred-teaming, and compromise assessmentcompromise assessment.
Horangi’s Chairman Kevin Lee, who received the appreciation plaque on behalf of the company at the launch of the program, said, “Cyber security is national security, and as one of the few homegrown cybersecurity companies in Singapore, we are excited to be a launch partner of this new program and look forward to working with the CSA to make this a success.”
“The launch of this program is timely,” Mr. Lee added. “The COVID-19 pandemic fast-tracked many organizations’ adoption of the cloud. If they lack the proper levels of cybersecurity hygiene, they are exposing themselves to data breaches and, worse, ransomware. Organizations need to ensure that they are compliant with local and international standards and close off all vulnerabilities to stay safe. That’s easier said than done given the cloud’s dynamic nature. With Horangi Warden and our slew of servicesservices, we help organizations fully address these shortcomings so they can continue to innovate without fear.”
Singapore is seeing an increase in cyber threats, with a surge in COVID-19-related phishing activities and ransomware. According to the Singapore Cyber Landscape 2020 report released by the CSA in June 2021, ransomware cases saw a 154 percent increase year on year, from 89 reported cases in 2020 to 154 in 2021.
The SG Cyber Safe Partnership Programme was unveiled on 7 October 2021 during the sixth edition of Singapore International Cyber Week held from 4 - 8 October 2021 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Horangi is a leading cybersecurity company founded by ex Palantir Technologies engineers and is headquartered in Singapore. Horangi’s best-in-class Warden cloud security platform protects organizations in the public cloud, complemented by an elite team of cybersecurity experts providing CREST-accredited offensive and strategic cybersecurity services to customers across the world.
